Corporate Evaluation Methodologies

The objective of CABEI's Institutional Strategy Evaluation (initial, intermediate, and final) is to measure the results obtained in the five-year period to identify the lessons learned and recommendations for the new five-year period. The methodology is based on the principles recommended by ECG, complemented by trend assessments and causal relationships.

With CABEI's Institutional Strategy 2020-2024, its monitoring and evaluation methodology based on the "Corporate Results Matrix (MRC)" has been updated. This is a tool to guide the Bank's performance towards the priorities of the "CABEI Institutional Strategy 2020-2024: CABEI, Pillar of Sustainable Development for the Region". Towards this end, it consolidates the objectives and indicators at three levels to measure institutional management (Level 1), CABEI's contribution to development (Level 2) and the evolution of the reality of the region (Level 3).

The level 1 indicators will be linked to the objectives, also incorporating the concept of the strategic perspectives that the Bank has been using, which will allow the identification of significant actions to empower its clients and beneficiaries, to strengthen its financial position, to achieve greater efficiency of the internal strategic structure and processes, and to optimize organizational capacity. It is relevant to note that the indicators of CABEI's contribution to development will measure the contribution of those interventions completed in the five-year period 2020-2024, which could have begun in the previous five-year period, or that will begin and end within the current strategic period 2020-2024. On the other hand, monitoring the evolution of the variables of the regional context (level 3) will allow to preserve attention to the needs of the region and will facilitate the identification and implementation of solutions.
